A few things people often want to know.
What is Roses & Saltwater?
A reflective practice built from numerology and astrology — your birth name and birth chart read as a lens for noticing your own patterns. It describes energy and invitation; it never tells you what to do.
Do I have to “believe in” astrology or numerology for this to be useful?
No. Hold it as lightly as you like. The value is in the reflection — the prompts, the patterns, the language for what you already half-knew. Take what resonates and leave the rest.
What’s included in membership?
Your daily reading (Today), Your Year, Harbor (your journal, plans, and practices), and Ask — the guide that knows your chart. Membership also includes your full Uncharted Waters, generated for you automatically.
What’s the difference between the $59 Map Your Uncharted Waters and membership?
The $59 Map Your Uncharted Waters is a one-time, keep-forever reading of who you are. The Annual plan ($119/yr) includes your Uncharted Waters plus all the living parts of the app. Monthly ($9.99/mo) does not include the Uncharted Waters — it is a separate $59 one-time purchase. If you buy the Uncharted Waters first and later join annually, your $59 comes off your first year.
What are the add-on guides?
One-time guides drawn from your chart: AGENCY™ ($49), Wardrobe & Style, Home Decor, Training & Nutrition, The Meeting Tide, Saltwater Witch, and Tending the Tide-Pool (per child) — $39 each. After you have kept 30 Tide days, the deeper-tide guides unlock: Deep Waters ($49.99), The Working Tide, The Courting Tide, The Tending Tide, and The Muse Tide — $39 each. Most guides come with in-app companion tools — planners, check-ins, logs, and decks — to keep the reading alive. You can also choose any four unlocked guides as a bundle for $124.50; Deep Waters and The Working Tide are excluded, and the 30-day-unlocked guides only count toward a bundle once they have unlocked.
Why do you ask for my birth time and city?
Only to calculate your Rising sign and sharpen your chart. They’re optional — your reading still works without them; only the Rising sign needs both. You can add or change them anytime in Settings.
Can I edit my details later?
Yes — in Settings you can update your birth date, birth name spelling, time, and city. If you change your name or date, your Uncharted Waters refreshes to match.
How does the tide work?
Keeping the tide means showing up each day. As a member, your Personal Month reading is available immediately — no waiting. The tide itself is the practice of returning: a small ritual that grows over days and seasons.
How is my Personal Day calculated?
Your timing numbers nest inside each other. Your Personal Year (the theme of your year) comes from your birth month and day added to the current year; your Personal Month is that number plus the calendar month; and your Personal Day is your Personal Month plus today’s date — each reduced to a single digit. So today’s number is a small beat inside your month, inside your year. The
Glossary has the full plain-terms breakdown.
Why does my Personal Year change on my birthday instead of January 1st?
Because the cycle is about you, not the Gregorian calendar. Your personal year runs birthday to birthday, so your Personal Year number turns over on your birthday — and your Personal Month and Day are calculated from that personally-anchored year.
What are master numbers (11, 22, 33)?
When one of your numbers adds up to 11, 22, or 33, we keep it rather than reducing it to a single digit — shown as a pair like “11/2.” These master numbers carry a more intense version of the digit they reduce to, so we honor them in your chart instead of flattening them.
Is this medical or psychological advice?
No. Roses & Saltwater is for reflection and growth only — not medical advice, therapy, or a substitute for professional support. If you’re navigating something heavy, please bring a professional into that space alongside this practice —
